Palmer & Co Grands Terroirs Champagne 2015
Palmer & Co Grands Terroirs Champagne 2015AC 0035912 (XD) 12% Alc./Vol. 750 mL $131.90 TASTING NOTE : The 2015 Grands Terroirs opens with a floral note of acacia blossom and ripe yellow fruits, a generous nod to the very dry, warm, sunny growing season - from bud break to harvest it was the hottest vintage since records began, surpassing even 2003 and 1976. On the palate Chardonnay takes the driving seat in the blend, with the freshness and impact of Trépail fruit giving a bright, citrus salinity, plus a note of bitterness. It boasts good intensity and an exotic dried fruit element, a hint of spiced pineapple, as it opens in the glass, but it needs a little more time to develop fully. Dosage: 7g/L. Disgorged: November 2021. 50% Chardonnay from Trépail and Villers-Marmery; 38% Pinot Noir from Mailly and Verzenay; 12% Meunier from Ludes, Chigny-les-Rosé and Rilly-la-Montagne. Drinking window: 2023-2032. Score - 92. (Giles Fallowfield, decanter.com, July 3, 2022)

Palmer & Co Vintage Collection Champagne 1996
Palmer & Co Vintage Collection Champagne 1996AC 0035910 (XD) 12% Alc./Vol. 750 mL $367.30 TASTING NOTE : Tasted from magnum, Palmer's 1996 Brut Collection Vintage is very typical of this vintage in Champagne, unfurling in the glass with aromas of iodine, smoky citrus oil, mandarin and honeycomb. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, bright and incisive, with a broad, delicately textural attack, good intensity at the core and a bright spine of tangy acidity that contributes considerable back-end drive and effectively plays off the wine's dosage. Drinking well today, this is the finest wine I have ever tasted from Palmer. Drink date: 2018-2033. Score - 93. (William Kelley, robertparker.com, April 30, 2019)

This fresh, aromatic wine has lifted rose petal tones, a silky mouthfeel, bright fruit, sweet spices, smoke, and tobacco nuances emerging in the glass as the wine opens up.
